I love it when couples see each other before hand. It allows for such great moments.
The whole wedding party limoed down to Michigan Ave and the river to do a little stylin' photo shoot.
I LUUUVE this shot!
This was shot at the Wrigley Building. Kim's Grandfather, Glen Bostrom once had a few floors of this building for his business and for many more years, had offices across the street at the Tribune Tower. I though it was so cool to take photos here.
Unscripted but not unexpected in the Windy City
Right smack dab in the middle of Michigan Ave. Yeah Baby!
Does it get an cuter than this? Ok, I know of one particular 8 month old that might do it for me:)
These next few were so awesome. Across the street from the venue was this amazing, classic Chicago park (did you know Chicago had tons of these little neighborhood parks? They make the city so interesting and welcoming.)
Light! it is so worth it to take advantage of the best light of the day for bride and groom photos!!!
These are some of my all time favorite bride and groom photos. I don't think any commentary is necessary.
I rented a few lenses for this busy week from BorrowLenses.com. They were awesome to work with. A Fisheye 15mm 2.8.
Emily & Eric
Emily was one of Kim's Maids of Honor and gave an awesome toast that if I understood right, she wrote while traveling in Spain. Very cool.
Anyway, Emily contacted me about shooting her wedding in Milwaukee next spring at the AMAZING Villa Terrace. This is my shameless request to let you know Emily how much I would love to come up there. Pleeeese! Ha ha.
Awesome DJs. Mixed the music old school the whole night and did a bang up job!
If I remember right, this would be the "Journey" time in the playlist.
A little head banging to close out the night.=!
Man I am thankful I got to be a part of such a great day with great people!
Kim and Jack were truly such fun people to be around. When I post their engagement photos in a day or two, you will see how much they just laugh together and enjoy being with each other. It was truly an honor to capture such a great weekend full of events and the times that are going to be so memorable for everyone involved.
