A blue sky, a white wall and some cacti...

[sorry I couldn't think of a title...]

Aaron told me I was posting too many flowery trees so I decided to go with a pointy cactus today. I can't wait till someday when I can post all my Cabo photos from this January's trip. Here is one...

I love the slight imperfection of the wall tilt of the otherwise almost perfectly symmetric composition. (wow, that didn't even make sense!)

My View /almost/

I took this standing 20 ft from my desk today. I can't quite see it while sitting at my desk [unfortunately] but now I can put it on my desktop. Plus these few beautiful days of spring last only just a few here in Oklahoma. I just drove by the tree pictured a few posts below and in only a few days all the flowers are gone and just an average green tree stands there. See, this is why I like photography...you get to keep moments in time.

anyway...I have had such a refreshing week due to the grace of God doing some great things in my life. I wish the same for you!

WORD!

This brought a smile to my face from the inside out. I needed it! Laughing in life is not optional.

not the iphone photo of the day

I don't do iPhone photos of the day (mainly cus I suck at iPhone pics unlike some of my colleagues) but if I did do them this would be it.
(plus I'm keeping the the spring photos...HEY its the first day of Spring. I just realized!!!)

and one from the other day

I always try to take an iphone pic of my little girl when I leave for a wedding or trip. In this case, she was going to visit great grandma with mom and grandma for 6 whole days. I miss her like crazy.

almost here

I think Spring is one of the best words (and concepts) out there.
Who's with me that Spring weather, a new feeling of a new start and the hope of some renewed energy/life is sooooo welcomed?

O' Happy Day

Spring is hittin' us. Very good indeed.

Happy St. Patricks Day. PLEASE enjoy these next couple days with this amazing weather!

It's no four leaf clover but I had fun laying on the sidewalk near campus capturing it. I actually had someone slam on their brakes and ask if I was ok. "Yeah just another crazy photographer getting a shot!"

an image from the vault

I can't even remember if I still have this on my portfolio site but I was working on an album today and saw this so here ya go. Heather was a trendsetter...this was back when birdcage veils were very avant garde

a ray of light

I was thinking of how to describe this couple since I have known Dimetrius for about 10 years (Song Yee for only the last year or so) and what I keep thinking of is they make you feel a ray of light every time you see them. In getting to know Song Yee more recently, she seems so together and one of those people that you just know is going to succeed in whatever she is doing...in her new career as a pharmacist, in her recent preoccupation of planning her wedding and most importantly, in her relationship with "D". I can't even begin to tell the story of D here, but I am so happy to see him doing so well in life. D is an artist (an amazing guitar player) and that really enviable combination of cool, fun, thoughtful, relaxed and passionate and spiritual.

I obviously can't wait until their wedding next month.

They are ordering a rockin' 20x30 canvas of this image. Dang that is going to be cool. You should be friends with them just so you can go to their house and see it.

a note on the texture: textures like this are so cool to me because I captured it from the wall right behind where I was shooting this (from another image I took of them)

a work in progress

Joe Photo illustrated to me that I am a INFP personality. It is so true given that I have been revisiting this image through the year. It just feels like it is still happening. Here is my latest version.

a note on the texture: textures like this are so cool to me because I captured it from the wall of the clubhouse in the image.

Now off to hang with Christian and Tara for a little Oklahoma Photography Network Conclave.

Coming atcha!

Here are a few images from a post I am working on. I'll tell the story then but a hint is that these two are both certified geniuses!
